Look for Fundraiser: The Art Grind is Survival
Thoroughly it explains my over-comings and goings as a teaching and visual artist as St. Louis native. I identify as two-spirit and am having some issues with gaining some financial security at this time. First and most dire is auto insurance, which I though I would be sleeping in until a local community mentor and friend offered her place for the past month or so to house myself and things. Within this time frame I have worked and taught art in a few non-profit organizations and am looking towards securing a space to do art and teach. I would love some assistance and help as this is extremely dire situation. I am fortunate to have a loving community but without true security as an artist in this city it has been more than difficult.

Hey folx!
I have a dire emergency and anyone’s help would be more than appreciated! I’m a local artist St. Louis native, it’s been a rough couple of years since my medical withdrawal from school. I’ve had telemarketing fraud and can’t be compensated due to the laws and how they can’t help with financial loss due to these crimes even if the person is convicted. I am a trauma survivor and have gone through different kinds of therapy including group PTSD therapy.
I have had residency issues and have stayed in a safe house formally and am now staying with a community mentor and friend. Within the past few weeks I got into a car accident, hit my jaw on the steering wheel and hold the fault for the accident but found out following that I did not have insurance and thought it was taken care of through a parent but did not inform me on it after the last one expired. My bornday is in 9 days on 9/9 and I have a court date following that the next day! If there’s folx out there who could help or even share this post I need help ASAP to get this insurance on this vehicle and aid in car maintenance after the accident. I have a cash app and PayPal. Anything could help! Happy birthday days and earth days are great but lending a hand is so profound and genuinely appreciated! Also I do art so if you have a request for that send it my way. I also have a gofundme I’ve posted formally and I’ll post the link to that as well! 5$-20$ a person is a start and would help me secure I don’t have to face the court system unprepared without insurance with the possibilities of a suspension or serving jail time on top of having to pay for this guys deductible!
P.S. I’ll have my art website up tomorrow! I do teach art within a few organizations, do henna, face painting for parties and vending at local events! I host local Henna, Paint and Sips every third Friday of the month! So again whatever you can do would be appreciated! #support and #donations this is #urgent as I need insurance coverage ASAP and I have a plan ready when I have the money to secure it! I’ve been more than willing to lend a helping hand to folx and friends whom have needed rides I just need y’all right now and am sending waves of prayers love and light at this time of urgency!
